Special guests have been visiting Paint Lick Elementary School. With the school's "Readers Are Leaders" program, special guests are invited throughout the school year to read, talk about their career and emphasize the importance of reading.
Mrs. Maria Roberts with the Lexington Fire Department visited the first graders recently and explained to students the duties of her job. Students were very attentive as they learned about the equipment and her responsibilities.
Mr. and Mrs. Giles Shell were recent guest readers with fifth graders. They shared a great book 'On the Farm' with the students and talked about their career in agriculture.
Monday, second graders also had an awesome guest reader, Mr. Corey Keith, Acting Superintendent of Garrard County Schools. Mr. Keith talked with students about the importance of reading for a successful career and read a Little Big Book, 'Rudolph' to the students.
