On October 22, 2015 members of the Garrard Leadership Against Drugs (GLAD) coalition held the annual community for at the Grand theater. One of the speakers was the GLAD Youth Club president Amanda Arbuthnot "I was very honored to be able to represent our club and be able to share what great things we are doing. It was great to meet the people who originally created GLAD back in 2012." Two recovery centers , Liberty Ridge and The Isaiah House, provided details concerning rehabilitation services close to our community. Bluegrass.org was also present to offer information about recovery services within Lancaster. The keynote speakers of the night represented the UNITE coalition. The CEO of UNITE, Nancy Hale, stated that GLAD was "doing all the right things" to work towards changing attitudes about drugs in our community. While speaking she emphasized the need for all members of our community to join in the fight.
