Spelling: Spelling test on Thursday (words with short o)
Reading: Read “A Musical Day” and “Drums,” high frequency words, short o, blends with l, phonogram -ock, sequence of events, statements
Math: Continue Chapter 3 (Addition Strategies)
Math vocabulary words: count on, doubles, doubles plus one, doubles minus one, make a ten
Science: Continue “Animals”
Homework: (due Thursday)
Reading: Read “A Musical Day” (pages 78-93) and “Drums” (pages 98-100) in student book. (Students should read daily at home. We will practice daily at school.)
Discuss pages 76-77, 94-97, and 101-105. This will help with daily lessons.
Study high frequency words (pages 74 and 75):

We will have the reading tests Thursday. I will read the Vocabulary and Comprehension parts to the students now. Sign and date RAH-RAH note. (due Thursday)
Continue to practice Dolch 1 words. Test is next week.
Writing: Memorize: “A verb is an action word that tells what a person or animal does.” List three verbs. Write a sentence with each verb. Underline the verb in each sentence. (due Thursday)
Math: Write numbers 0-40. Complete Math practice pages (attached). (due Thursday) Practice recognizing and counting to 40. Practice counting by 10s and 5s to 120. Practice counting by 2s to 20. Memorize the addition doubles (attached).
