We would like to recognize the hard work, determination, and perseverance of the Garrard Middle School cheer team as well as congratulate them on their recent accomplishments
This year the team placed fourth in their regional cheer competition in November and went on to the win The Rockcastle cheer challenge competition in January in their division. They had many long and difficult practices in between competitions all while cheering football, girls' basketball, and boys' basketball games.
Members of the team also make up many other GMS sports, clubs, including fastpitch, band, chorus, track, honor roll, beta club, beta team, theater programs, leadership club and academic team. These athletes are exceptional in the classroom, community and on the field.
The team is coached by Kristen McCollum, who is in her second season.
