The Garrard Middle School JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) program recently held its annual officer elections, giving students the opportunity to practice public speaking, experience the election process firsthand, and select their own student leaders for the year.
Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a national program dedicated to helping students build leadership skills, career readiness, and workplace success habits. Through hands-on projects and real-world experiences, JAG prepares students to become confident, capable leaders in school and beyond.
This year’s elected officers are:

8th Grade – Emma Bolin
7th Grade – Seth Woods
6th Grade – Ashleigh McDonald
These students will represent their peers and help lead JAG activities throughout the year.
The GMS JAG program continues to offer students valuable opportunities to learn leadership, teamwork, and communication skills—all while building a strong sense of community within their school.
