Please join us in welcoming Mr. Zach Shelton as the new Assistant Principal at Garrard Middle School!
Mr. Shelton brings a strong background in education, leadership, and community engagement. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Education from Campbellsville University and most recently completed his Master’s in Education Supervision from EKU. He joins Garrard County Schools after serving as Director of Bands in Boyle County Schools since 2019 and previously spent 11 years building and growing a successful program at Campbellsville Independent Schools.
A strong advocate for public education, Mr. Shelton is known for creating opportunities for students, fostering strong community connections, and building a culture where students feel supported and inspired. He is an active member of KMEA and served as the Fourth District’s President-Elect and President and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the GABBF Festival in Danville, KY.
Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, their children Beckett, Sadie, and Beau Parker, along with their four dogs and two cats.
Mr. Shelton joins the GC community excited to connect with staff, students, and families, and we are excited to welcome him to Garrard Middle School!
