Congratulations to Ms. Allissa Oakes for being recognized as the Garrard County Schools Teacher of the Month, sponsored by Whitaker Bank!
Mrs. Oakes is a 1st year teacher, who completed her student teaching at Lancaster Elementary. It was a no-brainer to make sure she had a permanent place at LES after seeing her talents in the classroom. Mrs. Oakes is now teaching 2nd grade math and continues to showcase those talents every day. A particular strength is her engagement strategies used to bring concepts to life for her students. She has been a great addition to LES, and we know her students will benefit from her creative and innovative teaching strategies.
