Briar Ross is a first grader at LES. She is the ideal student that you genuinely enjoy having in your classroom from the start of the day until the end. She is always a delight and is never in a bad mood. She tries hard no matter what task she is given and exhibits pure perseverance.
However, not only is she a very studious student, she also has a genuinely beautiful heart. She worries about her fellow classmates and wants to help anyone and everyone. She is always the first one to help another student clean up a mess or lend them a pencil. Let me provide you with another example of her kind spirit. At the end of January, we had a student in our class lose everything in a house fire and she was so concerned that she went home asking her mom about how she could possibly help. I don’t think there are a lot of 6 or 7 year olds that would feel obligated to do something, but that is just her nature.
I can honestly say that when it came to thinking about a nomination for student of the month, I could not think of a student that is more deserving than Briar.
