Hall of Fame

LANCASTER, KY — Garrard County Schools is proud to announce the 2025 inductees to the Garrard County Schools Hall of Fame. This year’s class features eight outstanding individuals who have made a lasting impact in their respective fields and in the broader community.

Representing a wide range of achievements—from athletics and the arts to professional careers and lifelong community service—this year’s honorees exemplify the values of excellence, perseverance, and leadership that define the spirit of Garrard County Schools.

Each inductee has left a meaningful mark not only in their chosen field, but also in the lives of those they’ve influenced along the way,” said Dr. Kevin Stull, Superintendent of Garrard County Schools. “We are honored to recognize their legacy and celebrate their connection to our district.”

The 2025 Hall of Fame Inductees are:

  • Kevin C. Brown – Esteemed legal expert and educational leader serving as General Counsel for Jefferson County Public Schools. A Garrard County native and Garrard County High School graduate, Kevin has held key roles in state education law and earned multiple awards for leadership and dedication to public education.

  • Dr. Laura E. Davis – A rising leader in the field of urology and medical research, Dr. Davis is a Garrard County native and physician-scientist currently completing her residency at Case Western Reserve University. A published researcher and national presenter, she is shaping the future of urologic care through clinical innovation, education, and scholarship.

  • Karen Flannery Harrison – A record-setting basketball standout at Garrard County High School, Flannery remains the program’s all-time leader in scoring and rebounding. She earned All-State honors, was named 12th Region Player of the Year, and led her team to the KHSAA Sweet 16. Her legacy is cemented with induction into the 12th Region Hall of Fame and the All-State Tournament Team.

  • Jen Krimm – An accomplished international peacebuilder and senior advisor with over 15 years of experience working on democracy promotion, conflict prevention, and political strategy across the U.S. and multiple countries worldwide. A Garrard County High School co-valedictorian, she has held key roles in government and nonprofit sectors and is actively engaged in civic leadership and bridging political divides.

  • Jeff Moss – A lifelong Garrard County leader, dedicated public servant, and educator with a distinguished career as a Circuit Judge, attorney, and youth mentor. A GCHS co-valedictorian and community pillar, he has been recognized statewide for his work supporting children, families, and justice.

  • Dr. Eve Proffitt – A nationally recognized education leader with over 50 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, professor, and policy advisor. A Garrard County native, Dr. Proffitt has shaped education at local, state, and national levels through her advocacy, leadership, and dedication to equity and innovation.

  • Dr. Nelson Leo Rhodus – Renowned oral medicine specialist, distinguished professor, and researcher with over 38 years of experience in academia and clinical practice. A Garrard County native and valedictorian, Dr. Rhodus has contributed extensively to dental medicine through teaching, research, and leadership roles at the University of Minnesota and beyond.

  • Cindy Rogers – A lifelong Garrard County educator and leader with over four decades of service in teaching, school administration, and instructional leadership. She played a vital role in shaping Garrard Middle School and the district’s educational programs, mentoring dozens of new teachers and securing millions in grant funding to enhance student learning.

These individuals will be honored at the annual Hall of Fame Banquet, to be held on July 28th at Garrard County High School. The event will include a formal recognition ceremony, highlighting each inductee’s accomplishments and contributions.

As the inaugural class of the newly established Hall of Fame, the 2025 inductees set the standard for a tradition that Garrard County Schools plans to carry on for many years to come. This lasting tribute will annually honor individuals whose stories reflect the pride and values of the Garrard County community.

The Garrard County Schools Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor distinguished alumni, former staff, and community members who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and service. Each year, the district will welcome a new class of inductees whose stories continue to inspire current and future generations.
