Viviana Weaver Spekaing with Student Voice at Kentucky Board of Education Meeting

Garrard County High School 11th Grade student, Ms. Viviana Weaver, spoke before the Kentucky Board of Education in Frankfort, Wednesday June 8th 2022. 

Viviana Weaver is a member of the Kentucky Student Voice Team. The Student Voice Team's work includes exploring how students can be governing and policy co-creation partners, developing student-led evaluations of school climate and culture, pioneering youth-led participatory action research, and leading legislative advocacy campaigns focused on school safety, college affordability, and student representation.

On Wednesday, June 8th 2022, along with other members of the team- Weaver shared the powerful results of the race, ethnicity, and school climate survey from 10,000+ Kentucky high school students.
