Joanna Howerton Stevens, former Kentucky High School Teacher of the Year, current Garrard County High School Math Teacher, and now- the next educator to sit on the Kentucky Board of Education.
Mrs. Stevens was selected from nineteen applicants and recommended by the KBE Application Review Special Committee for the 2022-2023 non-voting teacher position. She was appointed as a member at the board's April 20th meeting.
