This week at Lancaster Elementary, we are celebrating some of our everyday heroes—our amazing bus drivers and bus monitors!
Rain or shine, early mornings and long afternoons, they make sure our Leopards get to and from school safely each and every day. But they do so much more than drive a bus—they build relationships, show kindness, keep our students safe, and start and end each child’s day with a smile.

Today our Leopards had the BEST time meeting Sissy from Pawsitive Pups! 🐶✨
Sissy is a trained therapy dog, and she truly stole the show! She visited classrooms, showed off some awesome tricks, and most importantly—shared lots of calm, comfort, and smiles with our students. 💕
Our kiddos loved every minute… and yes, Sissy even got to enjoy some time on the playground! 🛝🐾
Thank you, Sissy, for bringing so much joy to our school today—we already can’t wait for your next visit!

Mrs. Jones, our incredible 3rd-grade teacher, shows up every day ready to give her all for our kids. She goes above and beyond to make sure every student feels seen, supported, and valued.
She is a true advocate for her students, always fighting for what they need to be successful.

Garrard County High School Project Graduation is hosting Mini Prom 2026, a fun evening for 4th and 5th grade students! The event will take place next Friday, May 1st, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Garrard County High School Cafeteria. Admission is $5. This attached form serves as your ticket, so please do not turn it in to a teacher, bring it with you to enter. If a ticket is not brought, a parent or guardian will need to come inside to sign the student in.
